Youth Section 2024
Welcome to the 2024 Youth Section at TCCC. In addition to the Friday night youth cricket for ages 5-9, we will continue our history of having both a under 11s and under 13s practice and teams playing in their respective leagues.
Practice for the under 11s and under 13s will be on Friday nights and benefit from qualified coaching from the Sports Masters team.
Simon Curtis will oversea match day arrangements with the help of other club members.
Any help from parents on match day evenings with the warm-up routines and catching practices or even bar-tending, pretty much like they did last season, would be greatly appreciated.
This season the club has decided to enter two teams into the Bath District Youth Cricket League (BDYCL).
Temple Tigers will play in the under 11s 8 a side Barrington Rules and the 13s will play in 8 aside Barrington Rules. We have entered two teams to ensure that the children who moved out of the younger age group last season are able to continue playing and developing their cricketing ability.
Match days are Mondays for under 11 and Tuesdays for under 13 and your team manager will be able to provide the fixture list for the season.
The last few seasons have been very productive for the youth policy at Temple. It has taken time to re energise things but we are getting there. With your continued support and help on match day evenings I hope to see our little acorn grow, in time to half decent sized oak!
